Potential of natural polyphenols in the prevention of Parkinson's disease

Potential of natural polyphenols in the prevention of Parkinson's disease
Neuroprotective strategies with the use of natural polyphenols are developed to influence: oxidative stress, inflammatory processes, mitochondrial dysfunction, and apoptosis, as well as the mechanisms responsible for the removal of damaged mitochondria and abnormal α-synuclein - autophagy. These mechanisms are verified in different in vitro and in vivo PD research models.
